BIG DATA MADE EASY

 

QuantCell supports real time Big Data frameworks and Apache Hadoop installations. It allows you to build MapReduce analysis or submit real time Apache Spark queries right from the spreadsheet, submit it to a Hadoop server and watch it hack away. The results can be delivered back to the spreadsheet for further analysis and visualization.

 

QuantCell IN FINANCIAL SERVICES

 

QuantCell enables quants and users in financial services to respond faster to market opportunities and threats. It delivers access to the OpenGamma Platform and other financial libraries for risk analysis and modeling, as well as your own proprietary financial libraries. This allows users to build and deploy production ready analytical models and financial products into existing infrastructure.

QuantCell derives its powerful analytical and computational capabilities from SQL, R, Java and other platforms and from the world’s largest ecosystem of computational solutions available in these languages. INTUITIVE ACCESS TO DATA SOURCES

 

QuantCell easily connects to most data sources, public or private and connects to any JDBC database for SQL or NoSQL access.  Additionally, users can search for data from over 50 providers and with one click import live data sets into individual cells using our data import wizard.

 

CLOUD & HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING

 

For compute intensive tasks, QuantCell utilizes private and public clouds, Hadoop installations, Amazon Web Services and other HPC systems. When running locally QuantCell is as fast as Java, with no loss in performance. It brings the Java computational platform, garbage collection, multithreading, concurrency and more to the spreadsheet user.

 

RICH DATA VISUALIZATION

 

QuantCell delivers rich visualization built into the spreadsheet interface. It supports visualization tools, data viewers and graphing APIs that already exist in the available ecosystem of solutions. Many of these visualization tools deliver their own analytical processing features that enhance the capabilities of QuantCell.

 

POLYGLOT APPROACH

 

Users of QuantCell can write spreadsheet formulas using their chosen language including R, SQL, Jython, Scala or Java code snippets. The current version 1.3 supports SQL, Java and spreadsheet syntax among other things but R, Jython and Scala are scheduled to become part of QuantCell this winter. The system employs code generation wizards, code recommendations and auto-completion to simplify the creation of models, analysis or applications. This allows non-programmers to use QuantCell. In the future QuantCell will incorporate additional user-friendly languages and code assistance approaches.

 

DEPLOYMENT READY MODELS

 

Models created in QuantCell can easily be deployed into Java production systems or as web services. Various deployment paths are available already, while others are soon to be added. QuantCell benefits from the large installed base of already existing Java enterprise systems.
